So for anyone wanting to play something but wants to learn as well I recommend Prodigy. It's a maths game that mixes Pokemon Go with math, and it's genuinely really fun. I play it for fun, and I think everyone else on the website does that too.
1. Basics
So in the game you play as a wizard, and there are different themed islands you can go to (e.g. Forest island, Beach island, Volcano island... by the way these are the themes and not the names). Plus there are "worlds", which are basically servers.
And on each island there are either one or two "characters" or something that need your help, because this Puppet Master guy (and his sidekick Pippet) is wrecking everything and they are too lazy to do anything. And while you are on your way to doing or getting stuff for them you have to battle monsters using spells (math questions). If you go too close to them they run towards you and demand a battle.
Naturally, the monsters are a couple levels below you (you have levels in this game, the smartest or most powerful wizards are level 100, apparently) so you have a better chance of defeating them. When you have usued a lot of spells and the monster is close to running out of health, it's possible to rescue them (you have to pay a bit of gold, which is the game currency and still answer a math question).
You can also "finish" islands when you have completed all the tasks. Plus there's a different currency on every island, but gold is the main one.
After every battle you get gold and rewards, and slowly level up. Using gold you can buy clothing, wands, shoes, pets(they just follow you around) and looks (hair, skintone, eyes, gender). The looks are really good too, but the hair really sucks unless you have membership.
2. Membership
Ahhh, membership. It eventually had to be in here. They're always shoving it in your face, so ignore that exclamation mark on settings because yes, they want you to be a member.
I'm not against membership, though. It's really useful for people that play frequently and for people that want to look cool, because membership unlocks special hairstyles, clothes, wands and abilities and pets. Plus you get to go up the Dark Tower or something like that, and float on a cloud.
But you don't have to get it if you want to learn. Plus, there are plenty of smart and decent-looking people who don't have membership. I don't have membership myself and I'm second best in my entire class(the best doesn't have membership either). Plus I can sometimes get outfits and stuff that require membership through Conjure Cubes (very cool boxes that you get a bunch of free prizes every time you pass every 5th level).
3. Lamplight town
This is like the home page of a website. It includes shops where you can buy stuff and dress and have access to your home (which you can buy and earn furniture for). They always have some special event going on (such as Winterfest, which was for Christmas). You can also spin this daily wheel that gives you prizes. Try wandering around for a bit, there's always things to do there.
4. Interacting with strangers
On Prodigy you have the ability to chat with other people(using typing) but there are phrases written for you so you can't say anything inappropriate. You can also view a person's stats (health, level and gold, which is the currency) and friend them by clicking on them, but that's the most you'll know about them. You can battle them and see what they've been doing, and you can also unfriend them. You can even dance, but there's a special move for people with memberships, of course. It's dabbing, but I don't think anyone really needs that.
5. Maths
Math on prodigy is not that hard when you're starting, but it obviously gets harder as you level up. You can work out problems by drawing, blocks, and sometimes calculators. Usually the harder the question, the better the spell, so you're best off doing hard questions.
So overall, Prodigy is really a good game and I'm glad my teacher told me about it. It's unique and special, as well as fun and educational. Give it a try. You never know.

By the way, my account name's Isabella Airtail, because they technically write it for you too. I'm a level 52 and you can usually see me around Lamplight Town and Skywatch, one of the islands I'm finishing.
And they're constantly updating and changing this game, so some information may not be true after a while.
